What the Midsouth Region Is All About
The Midsouth Region of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association was created in the late 1950's with the purpose of the organization is as follows:

To further the interest of the University, by promoting fellowship among alumni to secure alumni interest and support.
​

To stimulate and encourage continuous achievement among alumni so that they may bring honor to their Alma Mater.
​
-
To stimulate interest among the best students as potential candidates for admission to the University.
​
-
To develop and maintain a close relationship with the University and its alumni.

Midsouth Region Chapter Goals 2024-25
Each chapter within the region is to:
-
Award at least one (1) student scholarship either at the local level or through the TSU Foundation
-
Create and/or possess a scholarship fund (Restricted or Endowed) in the TSU Foundation
-
Participate in at least one (1) student recruitment activity each semester
-
Submit an article to each edition of the Alumni Outreach Magazine (Fall & Spring Editions)
-
Increase local chapter membership by a minimum of five (5) new members above the previous year
-
Sponsor one (1) major fundraising activity/event per Fiscal Year
-
Document all activities for record and submit the information to the National Alumni Office with a copy to the MSR Secretary
-
Donate to the Tiger Pantry during the designated month
-
Encourage its chapter and chapter members to register on the TSU TIGER NETWORK
-
Submit all chapter minutes to the MSR Secretary and the TSUNAA Executive Secretary
