The Tennessee State University Foundation is the official charitable organization authorized to accept private contributions for Tennessee State University. Established in 1970, the mission of the Tennessee State University Foundation is to promote and support literary, scientific, educational, scholarship, research, charitable and development purposes and goals at Tennessee State University.
The foundation is designated as a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service and is therefore authorized to issue tax-deductible receipts for charitable donations received to support Tennessee State University. Gift acknowledgments are mailed out promptly for all contributions received.

An initial investment of $10,000 dollars is required

The scholarship may be named for a chapter, individual or organization.

Awards/scholarships are made annually, based on the percentage of earned investment income and the TSU Foundation investment spending rule.

This fund is created in perpetuity meaning forever.

Minimum funding required of $5,000 dollars. May be established with a minimum of $2,000 dollars.

A commitment of $3,000 dollars over the next three (3) years is required.

The scholarship may be named for a chapter, individual or organization after your initial commitment is met.

Awards/scholarships may be given in the amount designated by the donor as long as there are funds in the account.
