The Midsouth Region chapters are located in the following states: Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee, and any other Midsouthern State that applies for and is approved. The current Midsouth Regional Vice-President is Mr. Alvino Douglass (Rho Psi Chapter).

DR. DEBORAH SMITH
Budget & Finance Chair

· Develops the budget for the Region

· Invoices chapters for the annual regional assessment

· Receives all incomes and deposit the same

· Makes the treasurer’s report at each meeting and provide written copies of the report

MR. BROTHER LINDSEY
Scholarship Coordinator & Co-Technology Chair

· Contact the TSU Foundation to determine which MSR chapters have scholarship funds in

the Foundation (Restricted and Non-Restricted)

· Gathers information on the procedure to set up a Scholarship Fund and work with chapters that

do not have funds to set up an account in the Foundation.

· Assists each Chapter that does not have a Scholarship fund (Restricted or Endowment) in the TSU Foundation (Goal by 2019)

· Reports on chapter concerns or thoughts regarding this activity.

MR. JULIUS WITHERSPOON
Nominating & Elections Committee Chair

· Plans and initiates the nominating process for the Region

· Plans for MSR election via USPS or and/or electronic balloting process

· Works with Region Treasurer and Secretary to get cost of new election process

· Reports on plans as appropriate

· Announces election results at the conference

MS. SONYA REVELL
Parliamentarian

· Makes sure meetings are conducted according to protocol

· Makes certain that the constitution and bylaws and operating policies are adhered to

· Secures a copy of each chapter’s constitution and bylaws, review for compliance and submit to the National Alumni Association

· Makes sure each chapter’s constitution is on file in the Midsouth Region and report on the same

· Reviews regional constitution and bylaws and operating policies and suggest any changes that may be needed and submit to chapters in the Region

MRS. SANDRA D.H. HUNT
Regional Vice President

Provides overall leadership and guidance for regional officers, executive board, and chapters

in the Midsouth Region.

· Serves as liaison between MSR Chapters and National Alumni Association

· Plans and presides over the Midsouth Region Conference and E-Board and Chapter Presidents’ meeting.

· Coordinates efforts for chapter development

MS. TINA FOX
Recording Secretary

· Takes minutes at meetings and submit for approval

· Presents minutes at meetings for approval

· Provides each Board member with a written copy of the minutes

· Develops and distributes an updated MSR Chapter Presidents Rooster

· Works with chapters to make sure you receive a copy of their minutes from meetings to submit to National Alumni Office

· Assists with planning of MSR Annual Conference

· Assists with pictures of Executive Board members and develop Board roster

· Assists with Midsouth Region year-end report

VACANT
Year End Report Committee Chair

· Collects year end reports from chapter

· Collects year end reports from Executive Board members for inclusion in MSR YER

· Collects pictures of Executive Board members and develop Board roster

· Works with Region Secretary to develop Region Directory

· Produces Midsouth region year-end report with Region Secretary and Region Publications Coordinator

· Assists with planning of MSR Annual Conference

MRS. MURIEL D. RAY-TAYLOR

Recruitment Coordinator

· Makes sure chapters receive university recruitment schedule each semester

· Contacts chapters to secure their assistance at a recruitment fair and make sure chapters document this with a written report and pictures

· Assists chapters in securing recruitment materials from the universities Admission Office

· Monitors chapters recruitment activities and report the same

· Provides written report for each board meeting about chapters recruitment activities

MS. SONYA D. SMITH
Membership Chair

· The Membership Chair shall foster ways and means to increase the membership in the Association.

· The committee chair shall investigate the qualifications of applicants

· Also, investigate delinquent chapters in paying their assessment and report such chapters to the Executive Board.

DR. JOYCE HARDAWAY
Donations and Fundraising Coordinator

· Works with chapters to make sure that they donate to at least one campus project/activity and report the same

· Makes sure we have at least one fundraising activity for Region each semester

· Ensures chapters participate in fundraising activity for MSR Conference

· Develops fundraising activities and report at each board meeting

MS. SANDY BeCOATS
Chaplain

· Serve as our spiritual leader by offering meditations at executive or regular meetings and other occasions when needed.
