TSU Aristocrats of Bands meet & greet at Austin-East Magnet HS Homecoming (10.23.15)

East Tennessee Alumni, we did it! The “TSU Aristocrat of bands” will be performing for the Austin East Magnet High School homecoming parade and halftime show on Friday, October 23rd, tentative schedule attached at the bottom for your information.

We the East Tennessee Alumni have been tasked with the “Meet and Greet” on Friday, October 23rd at 1:00pm at Austin East High School. That hospitality will be continued as we assist with delivering them box lunches on their departu...re that evening at 9:15 p.m. heading to Richmond, KY for the TSU football game vs. Eastern Kentucky the following day.

All on this email, I will need you to help me put the word out. We need the support of the whole city. I especially need all alumni support from all who attended TSU in the city. I am asking to please let me know names and contacts for any TSU supporter in the east area. This is a big event for students in the local middle schools and high schools. I do not know of a greater opportunity for exposure to our youth that may not be familiar with college life and how vital it is to their future. The only thing that separates successes is exposure! The Aristocrat of bands will be a great opportunity for all students in the East Tennessee area to see how vital organization, goal commitment, and setting tasks are to their long term careers.

I task all of you with the responsibility to please let everyone know, especially those interested in TSU; music, band, college careers, etc. about this historic event. Give me a call with contacts and forward this email to all that may be interested. Let me know if you have any ideas that will make this the best experience for not only the students but for the TSU band members. Feel free to contact me personally. 1:00pm: TSU band arrives at AE 1:15pm: Buddy’s BBQ served to TSU band 2:15pm: TSU band preps for Parade 4:00pm: TSU band heads to site of Parade 5:00pm: Parade begins on MLK(5 points) 7:30pm: Kickoff (Sweetwater vs. AE) 8:45pm: TSU Halftime show 9:15pm: TSU band departs for Nashville box lunches provided by TBD.
