Homecoming at Tennessee State University is unlike any other and this year's celebration is expected to be one of our biggest ever. We recognize that each year is special but 2015 promises to be even more extraordinary as Tennessee State University honors the contributions of alumni

31st - Fall Preview Day Big Blue Explosion

High School Senior Fall Preview Day - This event is sponsored by the Tennessee State University Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The program is designed to introduce high school seniors and juniors the opportunity to preview what it is like to be a student at Tennessee State University. Students will have the opportunity to: Meet TSU President Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, Visit Academic Departments, view Student Organizations, Tour the beautiful Campus, Attend a TSU home football game at Hale Stadium, and Hear our World Famous Aristocrat of Bands. NOTE: Direct admission is available for seniors with official transcripts and ACT or SAT test scores. Contact Us at ETTSUAlumni@live.com to reserve your seat.

29th – #TSU20 Chow & Cheer Basketball Contest

Tennessee State University students admitted to the Class of 2020 will be able to attend pre game dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings with East Tennessee TSU alumni and two free tickets to the TSU versus the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Students will be able to enter on Twitter and Facebook beginning on November 1, 2015 at midnight. @TSU_NAAEastTN

JANUARY 2016

23th – TSU20 “New Recruit” Reception

The East Tennessee Chapter of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association invites new incoming Tennessee State Freshmen, undecided admitted students and their families to a freshman “New Recruit” Reception. We will meet at the home of the chapter President, located at 12821 Peach View Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37922 on Saturday, January 23rd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Please arrive at 3:00 p.m. for social hour prior to the dinner.

Food and beverages will be provided by the chapter. Alumni attendees are encouraged to drop by with a side dish or dessert to share, welcome the incoming freshmen to the Big Blue Tiger Family, and help kick off the new academic year!

TSU alumni, supporters, current and incoming students to movie and dinner with the East Tennessee Chapter of the Tennessee State University National Alumni Association held in the spring. Movie & Dinner TBD

APRIL 2016

16th – Spring Preview Day Tiger Junior Jumpstart 2016 (tentative)

This event is sponsored by the Tennessee State University Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The event is held annually in the Spring/April and is designed to introduce high school juniors (with sophomore in mind) to all that Tennessee State University has to offer. Students will have the opportunity to: Meet TSU President Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, visit academic departments, discuss financial aid and housing, tour the beautiful campus, eat & socialize at the admissions tailgate, attend the Spring Blue and White Football Game, and hear our World Famous Aristocrat of Bands.

13th - Big Blue Freshman Send Off

The Big Blue Send-Off cookout is an annual celebration for rising college Tennessee State University freshmen, transfers and honored guests from Greater Metropolitan Knoxville, TN. Students that have had their enrollment verified will be entering Tennessee State University to learn and departing to serve. Students that attend this event will be invited via electronic mail, recognized for their achievements, receive food and fellowship they won’t forget.

16th - Freshman Move in Day (tentative)

Tennessee State University National Alumni Association

East Tennessee Chapter Alumni Scholarship

Amount: Awarded once annually. Awards may vary

Deadline: August 1st annually

Criteria: State of Tennessee Resident; for first time freshman and must reside in one of the following counties: Anderson, Blount, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Roane, Sevier, Sullivan & Washington.

Other requirements: A 3.0 unweighted grade point average, a completed East TN alumni scholarship application & an official transcript with ACT or SAT scores
